Petra Nemcova was born on June 24, 1979 in Karvina, Czechoslovakia, now Czech Republic. She is a fashion model and founder and president of Happy Hearts Fund. In December 2004, she was injured in Thailand by a tsunami resulting from the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. Her then-fiance, Simon Atlee, was killed in the tsunami.In 2005, Nemcova started The Happy Hearts Fund, a charitable campaign after her survival and recovery from the Tsunami of 2004. It aims to advocate and provide for disadvantaged youngsters who have had to endure hardship and who are not receiving the essential and sustainable help they need for healthy childhood development. It actively partners with charities, donors and foundations committed to providing immediate, tangible assistance for children.
Eva Herzigová is a Czech model and actress.Herzigova is fluent in Czech, English, French, Italian and Spanish. She is a noted potter and has owned a computerized kiln. "Making pottery's very calming and it's creative and it's, you know, when you're like in your own world, you have a creative thing that's going through your head. You just go. Travel in your mind. It's cool." she has said. Her face also appears on the cover of Powderfinger's album, Vulture Street. Louis Vuitton released a handbag called the Eva, inspired by the model.
