She began acting in commercials since she was five. Dulce became well known for playing Roberta Pardo on Rebelde and for being a member of the pop band RBD. She is close to her RBD members. She has stated that she will release a book 'Dulce Amargo' that she states are her poems and songs she wrote for the group. The release date of the book was on February 14, 2008.
